Paul Rigby's unique style of guitar playing is a meld of musical influences ranging from African pop to jazz, country and rock'n roll. Paul was born in Calgary, Alberta in 1971 and has lived in Vancouver since 1996. He has a B.A. in Jazz Pop Performance and has been playing for 20 years, spending the past six years touring and recording with artists Bocephus King, Linda McRae, Carolyn Mark, Neko Case and Calexico. Paul met Garth Hudson at a studio session in Tucson, Arizona while recording with Neko Case for her new CD (to be released Spring 2005). He is currently working with Neko Case, Carolyn Mark and Garth and Maud Hudson. His devotion to each artist's vision as well as his versatility on guitar, mandolin, pedal steel and banjo keeps him busy and happy.
