"My brother Bill and I have been scanning more old negatives from the last century. This one documents an unusual configuration in the Band's rhythm section: They'd often trade seats and instruments, although this doesn't look like a very serious effort. Taken during the sound check at Alameda Stadium on July 13, 1974 on a bright, sunny day. Dedicated to Levon and Garth, on the occasion of Levon's triumphant Beacon Theater concert (where Garth joined in as well). Wish we could have been there!"
