[cover art]

2004 album from 23-year old roots artist McGee, recorded with Amy Helm's group Ollabelle as his backing band. Levon Helm guests on mandolin and drums on several tracks.

Since releasing his self-penned American roots music to critical acclaim in his early teens, Kieran McGee has spent years immersing himself with everything from the delta blues and southern gothic to French surrealist poetry and beat writers. "All the new things I was seeing and hearing exploded in my brain and onto tape, canvas, and paper," he said, currently gearing up to resurface with his first national release in five years, Anonymous, out October 12, 2004 on Stanton Street Records.
