Blind Boy Grunt and the Hawks: The Basement Tapes Vol. I & II
(The Band, Bob Dylan, and Tiny Tim)
These two bootlegs with recordings from the basement sessions in
Big Pink, originally was released in 1967. The content surfaced again in
the '80s on CDs with the same title, and in the '90s on the
bootleg CD
Down in the Basement.
Volume I has many of the songs that later were officially released
on The Basement Tapes in 1975.
Volume II contains several Robbie Robertson instrumentals and a few
songs with the Hawks backing up Tiny Tim, recorded for the soundtrack to
Peter Yarrow's movie You Are What You Eat.
