Bob Dylan & The Band: Forever Young

The Secret History from 1966-1976

[cover art]

[CD cover] [Back cover]

Forever Young is a collection of rarer tracks from Bob Dylan & The Band. The first two tracks are Liverpool 1966. Tom Thumb's Blues is a single B-side, but Tell Me Momma is a good quality bootleg version. The next three tracks are from the officially released Woody Guthrie memorial show in January 1968, then come the Rock of Ages outtakes with Dylan, the bootleg New York City 1974 Highway 61 Revisited, the full Dylan set from The Last Waltz (as if anyone buying this wouldn't have these tracks). Finally comes the 29 May 1988 version of The Weight with Levon Helm, which does no one any credit.

This sort of compilation from (mainly) released albums is getting more common. There are bootleg tracks, but you'd have to classify much of it as "pirated" (there is a subtle difference).
