The Chaps: To Kingdom Come/ Wait a Minute

The Chaps were a '60s garage-rock band out of the Dallas/Fort Worth area of Texas. Among the pioneers of fuzz guitars and freaky song-endings, they released a string of 45s on various labels (Paula, Soft, Demand, Madella) from 1966 to 1971. A sample of The Chaps can be found on the compilation CD Sixties Rebellion, Vol. 2 (Way Back MMCD 66006/7, 1993.)

A single with a cover of "To Kingdom Come" from Music from Big Pink was released by The Chaps in 1969. They also covered The Band's "Jemima Surrender" on another single released in the same year.
