Various Artists: Country Comment

Country Comment from 1977 is a rare hard-core country compilation on the British Charly label. The last track is a cover version of The Band's "The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down," performed by The Bluegrass Alliance.

Bluegrass Alliance from Louisville initially consisted of Dan Crary (guitar, vocals) , Wayne Stewart (guitar, vocals), Buddy Spurlock (banjo), Lonnie Pierce (fiddle) and Ebo Walker (bass). The have had several lineups later, country-star Vince Gill is probably their best known member. Other group members have been Tony Rice, Sam Bush, Curtis Burch, Courtney Johnson and Steve Cooley.
