Grooves is a series of rock compilations put out by Time Life which are now out of print. This 1996 CD covers a lot of ground, not just in terms of location (from Vancouver to Pakistan) but also in genre, from bluegrass to college and alternative rock. Includes songs from Alejandro Escavedo, Jolene, Rosanne Cash, Too Much Joy, Jim's Big Ego, Speech, The Band ("Free Your Mind" from High on the Hog,) Odds, Penlope Houston, Jonny Polonsky, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan & Michael Brook, The Philosopher Kings, Elliott Murphy, Fugees, The Subdudes and Cowboy Junkies.
