Denison Witmer:Recovered

[cover art]

Pennsylvania-based indie singer/songwriter Denison Witmer released his fifth CD in June 2003. Recovered is a cover album with a good selection of songs by Fleetwod Mac, Carole King, Graham Nash, Gram Parsons, Jackson Browne, Leonard Cohen, Neil Young, Alex Chilton and, as track 8, The Band's "It Makes No Difference." Young Witmer's soft voice and expressive guitar work makes his cover of this Rick Danko showcase from Northern Lights - Southern Cross one of the better versions we've heard.

Tracks

  1. Simple Man (Nash)
  2. Songbird (McVie)
  3. Love in Mind (Young)
  4. Nightime (Chilton)
  5. Farther On (Browne)
  6. Brass Buttons (Parsons)
  7. So Far Away (King)
  8. It Makes No Difference (Robertson)
  9. Suzanne (Cohen)
  10. These Days (Browne)
