Ringo Starr: Ringo

[cover art]

[Cover drawing]

One of the great Beatle solo albums, and the only one to feature a little help from all three ex-friends in the band. Starr's apex. The 1991 CD reissue of Ringo contains three bonus tracks, the hit singl "It Don't Come Easy," the autobiographical B-side "Early 1970," and "Down and Out."
-- Jeff Tamarkin, All-Music Guide

On Ringo the Band (minus Richard) appears on the cut "Sunshine Life for Me (Sail Away Raymond)" with Rick on fiddle, Levon on mandolin, Robbie on guitar, and Garth on accordian (George Harrison backing vocals, but none of the Band sings.) As the distribution of instruments suggests, it is a loose, fun song. The LP cover has a nice drawing of all the musicians involved on Ringo, including the four members of The Band.
