Thumbs Carllile: Thumbs Carllile with Himself

(Casette Tape)

photo
Thumbs Carllile

This is a 1982 recording with a guy that Garth Hudson discovered in California. The late Thumbs Carllile held his guitar on his lap and played it with his thumbs, very unorthodox but original and nice. Garth co-produced the album and can be heard talking in places. The tape was "released" on Garth's Buscador Music label, with the following information inside the cover: "Recorded at the Village Recorder, West L.A., Calif., 12:00 noon to 2:47 p.m., Monday, August 16, 1982".
