Jim Weider & the Honky Tonk Gurus

Chicago B.L.U.E.S., New York, NY, May 5th, 2001

After playing two back to back sets and a few encore numbers totaling over 2 hours worth of solid soulful music at Chicago B.L.U.E.S. late Saturday night (May 5th) Jim Weider and the Honky Tonk Gurus did what all great live bands do - they left the crowd howling for more. Guest vocalist and guitarist Jimmy Vivino sang a powerful rendition of "Many Rivers To Cross" which was matched by Jim's blistering yet delicate lead playing - but that was only one of many highlights. Catch this band soon if at all possible.
--Crabgrass, May 2001
