Four Jets was started as a Shadows-band by four boys (thus the name) from the Norwegian city of Trondheim in 1963. They developed into a danceband with an often-changing lineup, including several female singers, and kept it going until the beginning of the '90s. Four Jets' albums often mixes their own pop songs with covers of international hits, translated to Norwegian and sung in their local dialect. The group was very popular in Norway in the '70s and '80s, selling loads of records and cassette tapes directed at the easy-listening market. Their 1982 song "Ung Igjen" ("Young Again") tells a story (sort of) about being a young couple in the '70s – the guy here sings Dylan songs to charm the girls. The chorus reveal how they spend their money earned on part-time jobs, on the following three items: Bell-bottom jeans ("dongribuks' med slæng"), the portable radio of their dreams ("ein Kurér-radio vi hadd drømt om læng"), and an album by The Band ("ei plate med The Band"). Not really recommended listening...
