Soundtrack Album: Maverick

The soundtrack album to the film Maverick from 1994 doesn't feature Randy Newman's original score -- it is a collection of 10 contemporary country numbers, with a Newman song and a version of "Amazing Grace" thrown in for good measure. The album features Waylon Jennings, Clint Black, Vince Gill, Tracy Lawrence, Restless Heart and John Michael Montgomery. Vince Gill does a version of The Band's "Ophelia", originally taken from the soundtrack of the 1994 movie 8 seconds.
