The Jim Weider Band

Village Underground, New York City, May 31, 2002

Those lucky enough to have squeezed into the Village Underground in NYC to see the newly christened Jim Weider Band's first Greenwich Village gig were treated to their special mix of rock, funk, and blues with a few of Jim's exquisite guitar instrumentals and several Band tunes thrown in for good measure. Randy Ciarlante's vocals seemed much stronger since the last time I saw him and Jim has definitely made some strides in the vocalizing area too!! New keyboard man Dan McKinney and new bassist (and singer) Albert Rogers round out the JWB adding their obviously well-seasoned talents to the group. Sid McGinnis (of Paul Shaffer's band) guested on guitar adding extra fuel to an already blazing furnace of sound.
