Levon Helm & the Barn Burners

Chicago B.L.U.E.S., New York City, May 12, 2001

I sure hope the owners of Chicago B.L.U.E.S. have a comprehensive insurance policy because the Barn Burners set the place ablaze on Saturday night! Of course, I didn't expect otherwise since Levon was playing with fire as usual. In addition to the incendiary Pat O'Shea, guest guitarist Jimmy Vivino (this guy gets around!) helped light up the night with a few red hot licks behind Chris O'Leary's scorching harp, Amy's fiery vocals, and Frank Ingrao's, smoking stand-up bass. See this band - but don't get too close - you might get burned!! (I almost did, no kidding!) Special thanks to Butch who is one of the most pleasant and nicest guys anyone could ever wish to meet!!
