In 1979, ten years after that wild party on a farm in upstate New York known as Woodstock, some of the veteran musicians got together again--this time at Madison Square Garden--to continue celebrating the spirit of freedom. This pure-performance program features a jam session with Richie Havens, Taj Mahal, Country Joe and the Fish, Canned Heat, Jeff "Skunk" Baxter and Elliott Randall. The film also has appearances by Rick Danko and Paul Butterfield, among others. "Here Comes the Sun," "Stand Up," "On the Road Again," "Stage Fright," and "Freight Train" are just a few of the songs performed in this energetic extravaganza.
