Green Cortinas: SleepGreen Cortinas was a Norwegian pop/rock band that only released one album, Sleep, in 1995, that included the (national) radio hit "I Don't Wanna Sleep Tonight". They were awarded a Norwegian Grammy (aka "Spelemannprisen") for "Best New Act" the same year. The group's singer, guitarist and songwriter, Espen Jørgensen, had been working with Jonas Fjeld in the early '90s, during the same period when Fjeld released two albums together with Rick Danko and Eric Andersen, Danko/Fjeld/Andersen in 1991 and Ridin' on the Blinds in 1994. When Danko visited Norway in '94 to promote/tour the second album, he ended up doing a studio session with Jørgensen for Sleep. The result can be heard on the final track "Mississippi's Edge", a beautiful duet with Espen and Rick on lead vocals.
