The "Little Pink" home button

The "Little Pink" home button that appears on every Band WWW page, is based on a photo of the famous Big Pink house in Woodstock, taken from the back cover of the Band's first album.

Earlier versions of the "Little Pink" home button that have appeared on the pages looked like this:

[First Little Pink]  [Second Little Pink]

The first version was based on the home button in the toolbar of Netscape 1.1 for Windows, while the second one was made from the drawing of Big Pink on the cover of the 1993 album Jericho. Maybe the next version will be made from the drawing on the cover of Levon Helm's great solo album American Son?

The Big Pink house is still in use. Below are various photos of the house from our readers.

For driving directions, see Laura Petix' travel report.

The owners of the house are accepting, to a point, the visitors to Big Pink to share its history. When visiting, please stay back from the home, stay in front of the house and respect that this is a private residency.
