Professor "Louie" & The Crowmatix: Flyin' High

[cover art]

[CD cover] [Woodstock Records]

2002 album from Professor "Louie" and the Crowmatix on Woodstock Records. Garth Hudson plays on many of the tracks and the song "Whatever It Takes" was co-written by Rick Danko. There is a nice version of The Band's "Don`t Wait" from Jubilation, with Professor Louie on vocals.

Going to Woodstock: Professor Louie & The Crowmatix spread good vibes on " Flyin' High" (Woodstock Records)

Village mates and pals of The Band, their similarly minded material ranges from country rock to old time ballads to New Orleans shuffles, with three singers spreading the wealth and lending a "revue" feel to the proceedings. Ex-Bandsmen Levon Helm and Garth Hudson stop by, as does country crooner John Anderson and former Hot Tuna guitarist Michael Falzarano.
