Ronnie Hawkins: Ronnie Hawkins Sings the Songs of Hank Williams

[cover art]

On the Hank Williams album, Levon Helm plays drums. The album does feature the very best of the 50's/60's Nashville session musicians (Hank Garland on lead guitar, Scotty Moore on bass, Floyd Cramer on piano, Harold Bradley on guitar and Owen Bradley on piano.) The backing vocals are provided by a group called "The Anita Kerr Singers". The Hank Williams sessions took place at Bradley's Barn in Nashville, where Levon would record some of the music for Coal Miner's Daughter and his American Son album twenty years later.
