Capitol 2041 1967 Jabberwocky/ Never Too Much Love This is not a single by The Band, but by a group called The Bards who recorded the song for Picadilly Records in 1966 and re-released it on Capitol in 1967. The single is mentioned here because several record collector magazines have this listed in their The Band discographies, some times with the B-side as "Love Me Like You Can." The correct title of the song is "THE Jabberwocky", probably supposed to be a new dance craze.

Polydor569 327 21998 Take Your Partner By The Hand - Edit/ Take Your Partner By The Hand - DJ Premier Remix/ Hopscotch - Wagon Christ Remix/ Take Your Partner By The Hand - Album version 2 simultaneous CD single releases from Polydor titled Take Your Partner by the Hand UK, 30 March 1998, with Howie B featuring Robbie Robertson. The song "Hopscotch" does not feature Robertson. "Take Your Partner by the Hand" was co-written by Howie B and Robbie Robertson and features on both Howie B's Turn The Dark Off and Robbie Robertson's Contact from the Underworld of Red Boy. The Red Snapper Remix is an instrumental version (with odd half-heard bits of vocal) so it doesn't add greatly to your Robbie Robertson collection. They are however brilliant essays in the art of remixing. The DJ Premier Instrumental Remix has snatches of Robbie's vocal, and a sample from "One Step Beyond" by Madness. The DJ Premier Remix is a good version where the vocals are less submerged. [cover]
