The Band Guestbook Archives

The Band guestbook (aka the GB) opened in March 1996 and was shut down in June 2003, due to abuse. It re-opened again in September 2008 and was closed for good exactly 25 years after its opening, on March 19, 2021, when the whole Band site was frozen with no further updates.

Thanks to everyone who contributed over all those years. We suggest you continue the discussions in e.g. the Facebook group "Music from The Band" or elsewhere.

The graph below shows how the sizes (in bytes) of the monthly guestbook files have grown since the start and up to June 2002. The half megabyte mark was passed in November 1998. The peak in December 1999 was caused by Rick Danko's death.
